It’s time to register for Missouri’s PREMIER sailing event: the 2023 Governor’s Cup!
LSYC will be hosting both buoy racing and a cruise race for the Governors Cup weekend.
Buoy and Class Races
For our J22 Fleet and any other racers that want to participate in the buoy races, this is the one for you. Races will be held on Saturday and Sunday and will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2021, the prescriptions of the U.S. Sailing Association, the rules of each class concerned, and any posted amendments. The low point scoring system will be used. We will include PHRF Fleets for Spinnaker and JAM as well as Class Racing, specifically or J22 Fleet.
Registration to enter a boat is $50 for the race registration only. Meal tickets for the weekend will be sold separately. If you are racing, be sure to click on the link at the bottom of this page to take you to the boat registration form!

Cruise Race
As part of the Governor’s Cup Regatta sponsored by the Lake Stockton Yacht Club (LSYC), the Cruising Squadron of the LSYC will conduct a 12 mile distance race/cruise on Saturday, September 23rd. Starting this year, this Saturday only part of the Governor’s Cup event will be named the RON PLYMATE CRUISER CUP with its own awards detailed below.
Registration to enter the Cruising race is $20 for the race registration only. Meal tickets for the weekend will be sold separately. If you are racing, be sure to click on the link at the bottom of this page to take you to the boat registration form!

Not racing – but like to party? Meal tickets are available and will cover Friday night, Saturday night banquet and Sunday Awards lunch. Please click the link at the bottom of this page to purchase these meal tickets for $25 per person.
