Governor's Cup Regatta

The Governor's Cup Regatta is a prestigious sailing event hosted by the Lake Stockton Yacht Club (LSYC), held annually on Lake Stockton, and is the largest and most prominent sailing regatta in Missouri.

    New England PHRF
  • Are there repair facilities nearby?
    Yes, there is a sailboat repair facility onsite.
  • Is parking available for my trailer?
    Yes, free parking is available for race participants.
  • Is there on the water dockage for my launched boat?
    Yes, for a small fee at the marina.
  • Is there lodging?
    Check out orleanstrailresort.com. Additionally, there is camping onsite. There are cabin rentals nearby.
  • What is the Saturday night event?
    LSYC rents a ballroom for a memorable evening with food, cocktails, live music, and a silent auction fundraiser. Local vendors will also be present. Tickets must be purchased to attend—don’t miss out!
  • What types of boats race?
    We have everything from Hobie Cats to Buccaneers, Vipers, Sweet 16s, to J boats and Carreras and S2s, all the way up in size to an Elan 40.
  • Can I launch my boat onsite?
    Yes, you may launch your boat onsite.
  • Are there restaurants or a grocery store nearby?
    There is a bar/ restaurant onsite. We are 2 miles from town- the grocery store, pharmacy, healthcare, and restaurants.
  • Is there a Gin Pole to raise my mast?
    No, but there are many helpers around and a crane service in town.
