CRUISING SQUADRON SUMMER SERIES EVENTS (2021 results at END OF PAGE)
Starting on Saturday, July 16th, and continuing for the next 6 consecutive Saturdays, there will be a pursuit start cruise/race open to all sailors and all sailboats. The starting times and the 7 mile course will be the same each week. Each boat will have an assigned starting time which will be the same throughout the series. Boats with a 150 PHRF rating will be the “rabbit” and start at 11am. In this format, you are chasing or being chased by the “rabbit”. First to finish, WINS!
The specific details and starting times will be posted on the three Lake Stockton Yacht Club (LSYC) kiosk’s, the OTM bulletin board, and the white E-dock trailer at OTM. In addition, check the official Facebook page for LSYC and the numerous other Facebook pages for updates and specifics.

Celebrating the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer is what the Cruising Squadron summer series is all about. Each week there will be a social gathering following the cruise/race. This week, on the 17th, former Commodore Barry Nelson will host a RAFT-UP at a quiet place on the lake near the finish line. The specific location will depend on conditions on Saturday and will be broadcast on VHF CH 72. Bring a couple big bumpers and look for Barry on the Catalina 387, “Buena Onda” with flags flying and a unicorn floating nearby!
