2022 LSYC Distance Race

The Cruising Squadron 21 mile distance race will include 3 laps of the 7 mile course shown on the map. Check for your starting time and proceed to the starting area. On the map, the starting area is at the big pink dot between the west end of edge island and the shore. The start/finish line will be a gate between two orange inflatable balls. Start the race at your assigned time by heading through the gate and proceed 1 mile to mark 1 which is a large yellow inflatable at approximately 140 degrees. Go counter-clockwise around inflatable mark1 and then proceed to mark 2 which is another large yellow inflatable located near the dam. Go counter clockwise around mark 2 and then proceed back to the start/finish line. Go through the gate again and begin lap 2. Lap 3 is the same as laps 1 and 2. At the end of lap 3, go through the gate for the last time and record your finish time as hour:minute:seconds (example1:30:01).

For the official time of day for starts and finishes, go to clocktab on your phone where you will find hours, minutes, and seconds displayed. Your on-course official will be Commodore Brad who will be racing his boat and monitoring VHF channel #72. Report your finish time to Commodore Brad at VHF #72 or text at 417-459-0670
