Regatta Crew Waiver

Each crewperson must complete the waiver form.
LSYC uses New England PHRF ratings & rules as a guideline for ratings.

If you are crewing or racing on a different boat, a new release is required for the specific boat you will be on.

I understand and acknowledge that participation in regatta events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury, illness, property damage, or death. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with participating in regatta events.

I certify that I am physically fit and adequately trained to participate in regatta events. I have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional.

I agree to abide by all safety regulations, instructions, and guidelines provided by the event organizers and designated officials before, during, and after each regatta event.

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Lake Stockton Yacht Club, its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or rights of action, which are related to, arise out of, or are in any way connected with my participation in regatta events during the specified period, including but not limited to negligence of any kind or nature, whether foreseen or unforeseen, arising out of or related to regatta events.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lake Stockton Yacht Club, its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all liabilities or claims made by third parties arising out of my participation in regatta events during the specified period.

I consent to the use of my name, likeness, voice, and biographical information in connection with any photographs, audio recordings, video recordings, or other media captured during regatta events for promotional, advertising, or other related purposes by [Name of Organizing Committee] without any compensation or further authorization.

If any provision of this release form is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
