LSYC friends and family, if you were not at the lake this past weekend you missed out! The weather was AMAZING, and folks were everywhere having fun on the docks, racing, cruising, and at the Eeeevent.  I heard more laughter this weekend than I have heard anywhere in a long time. We also had a ribbon cutting ceremony (and sign unveiling) for E Dock. So FUN!

Speaking of racing- here are some results:
Spring Series (Bouy Racing Fleet)
#1 Cinnamon Girl (your trophy is on my boat)
#2 Sweet Baby J
#3 Old Glory

Inter-Dock Challenge: (Cruising Fleet)
#1 Wind Dancer
#2 Old Glory
#3 Sweet Baby J
#4 Schatzi
There were 11 boats in the Cruiser’s race and we had a bunch competing in the Spring Series. Guy’s ribs at the Eeevent were delicious and thanks to Mayor Todd and the E park scalawags for throwing the party!
What’s next? A bunch!  July 2 is a Water War! Watch Facebook for details, planned start time is 2pm and also monitor ch 72. Don’t forget the fireworks and the Stockton Boat Parade! The parade starts and ends at Mutton Creek Marina but we sailors are officially invited to join as we can!
July 8 is the Moonlight Madness Cruiser’s Race! This is a reverse start race, so get with Flip (all_prophil@yahoo.com) to get your start time. Start times will be +/- 9:00pm. There is a full moon tonight and we will put some lights on the markers. and the next morning…….
July 9 is Moon Over My Hammies Breakfast. At Shark Park, Marsha and Stephanie will be cooking up some of Star’s fresh eggs.
July 22 is a Cove Out Potluck Dinner and Music! Hosted by Todd and his bohemian crew aboard Messing About. Todd will pick the perfect cove for the evening and announce it on ch72. Then bring potluck dinner for the raft up and your guitar/ thing you play kinda good. Sing, dance, eat and tell lies. Sounds like fun to me!
Over and out from Olathe,
B-arr-y
(The Nelsons will be attacking Minnesota from the South, so please post pictures and lies on the club’s instagram link so I can follow along)
(We are now members of the Stockton Chamber of Commerce. The plan is to coordinate our efforts to bring like- minded folks to the region)
(Don’t forget we could use that committee boat. There is a go fund me link on this website)
(HAVE FUN!!  And be sure to say thanks to those cooking the eggs, running races, picking coves and such)
